Spring is well and truly here, so now's the time to do some fridge spring cleaning. In this new blog post we are sharing our ultimate 9-Step Reset.
Step 1: Empty it out
Take out all items from the fridge and freezer, and place them on the kitchen bench.

Step 2: Toss expired items
Throw out expired items or unwanted items.
Step 3: Remove and wash shelves & drawers
Take out removable shelves and drawers - wash with soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly before placing back into the fridge.
Step 4: Clean interior
Wipe down inside the fridge and freezer. You can use a home-made all-purpose cleaner by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, with a small amount of dishwashing liquid and a few drops of essential oil.

Step 5: Clean door seals
Remember to wipe the door seals with soapy water to remove grime.
Step 6: Clean exterior
Wipe the outside of the fridge, including buttons and handles. Pull out the fridge and vacuum the floor.
Step 7: Organise by zones
Organise the fridge into zones for easy access and meal prep - leftovers, ready to eat, dairy products & eggs, raw meat & fish, fresh fruits & veggies, sauces, condiments & drinks.
Step 8: Use smart storage solutions
Use fridge storage containers, tubs, turntables etc. to create zones and maximise storage.

Step 9: Re-stock essentials
Re-stock food items and remember to replace fridge deodorisers (bi-carb soda or lemon peels).
